Kelly's Serenity House is a shelter for battered  and sexually assualted women and children.  Statistics show that every 9 seconds someone is a victim to domestic violence or sexual assualt.  95% of these victims are women.  Our goal at Kelly's Serenity House is to help these victims become self-sufficient so they can help stop the cycle of abuse.  These women will need shelter and proper resources to support them in their journey.  This is where Kelly's Serenity House comes in.

FACTS

  • Over 6 million women are beaten each year by their partners; 4,000 of them are killed
  • Domestic violence is the single greatest cause of injury to women. More frequent than auto accidents, muggings and rapes combined.
  • 50% of men who abuse their female partner also abuse their children.
  • Medical expenses from domestic violence total at least $3-$5 BILLION annually.  
Our mission is to provide a safe place for protection of our clients.  Kelly's Serenity House provides housing for twelve families.  Upon acceptance into Kelly's Serenity House families will reside in the house for six to twelve months.  Case management is set up with social workers, medical and psychiatric services, substance abuse treatment, job training classes and educational and legal advocacy for the women.  All children will also receive specialty care.
