The Story of Kelly Merritt

Kelly’s Serenity House was named after a young lady by the name of Kelly Merritt who was gunned down by her ex-boyfriend with her four year old daughter who was at her side that witnessed this horrific crime. Kelly daughter is physically fine, but Kelly lost her life to domestic violence.  Kelly followed all appropriate procedures to ensure her safety, such as: filing a restraining order and pressing charges against her ex- boyfriend.  Despite her efforts someone’s mother, daughter, and sister's life was taken too early due to domestic violence. 

     Kelly's Serenity House inc. Is an organization for battered women and their children that provides a safe and supportive environment, that seek to end the cycle of Domestic Violence, sexual abuse and homeliness in families.
